What's on the menu for the week...



I started hearing about bulk cooking a few weeks ago and it seemed so very intimidating at first, but after getting use to it, it has been a life saver. The basic idea is to set up a menu for a number of days (the number of days is your choice).  Plan your shopping trip and then cook (the all day cooking is what got me, I can shop but really, cook all day?  I did other stuff at the same time and ran it over two days, but it was priceless when coming home and dinner was already done).  I am trying to revolve it around my work schedule which consist of every other Friday off at 1:00.  Today, I planned my menu and headed to the store.  Over the next few days I am going to cook seven meals.  Alrighty, now for the seven meals:

  • Stuffed Peppers (my delightful friend gave me lots from her garden)
  • Beef Stroganoff
  • Cheesy Enchiladas
  • Chicken & Dumplings
  • Hot Dogs
  • Grilled Chicken
  • Meatloaf

Looks like my Labor Day will be labor intensive...but it's worth it :-)
