Memories

Last night I was sitting on our patio watching as Perry ran to catch up with Jesse...and then had a little dog trailing behind.  It was the perfect time of day, work was over, homework done, laundry started, and dinner almost cleaned up.  The temperature was just right....it hit me then.  Do I REALLY appreciate these memories?  Do I take heart that this will not be my life forever?  That boy will grow up, the dog will pass away, the weather will turn cold or even hot....the table will be messy again.  There are things I need to remember that are the right nows....

• This lovely, little baby niece laying with her uncle.

• A boy and his dog sleeping.

• A 12 year old laugh that is full of change.





OK, so I can't catch him on film...but I promise he laughs :-)



• A husband who still makes my heart drop a little when I see him.
