Merry Christmas!

I hope this post finds everyone well and ready for a Merry Christmas.

It appears I have blinked again.  Christmas is tomorrow...We have baked, decorated, driven, wrapped and even lost it a few times during The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.  Don't get me wrong.  I love Christmas.  I love the excitement of it.  I love watching the boys and my niece and nephew.  I will love tomorrow when we  s.l.o.w. down...savor...enjoy....and praise Him.
For now, I will leave you with some snapshots of Christmas with the Joneses.

Goodbye...

It has been a hard week....that is the understatement of the year.  Of course as bad as my week was, it was worse for my dear friend.  She was laid off this week.  The job has been on my mind a lot the last few months.  We all figured something was going to happen due to the economy, what we didn't know.  Well, this week we finally found out.  My job was saved.  My friends {and former co-worker} was not.
We have worked together for nearly eight years {the actual time is debatable...inside joke}  You work in an office and frankly spend more time with the people you work with than with your own family...harsh but true.  Friendships grow...and then the building industry drops and you say goodbye.  Goodbye to the person who would tell me if my hair was sticking up, goodbye to morning talks of  books, goodbye to Faith talks in the middle of the day, goodbye to receiving advice even if I had not asked for it, goodbye to not having to speak to be understood.  I will say goodbye to our work relationship and wish her prayers and happiness....

Hello to an old fashioned friendship.

Christmas Pictures 2010

I have been a mother now for twelve years.  There are a LOT of hidden facts in the handbook...You know the one we never received, but keep looking for?  Hidden fact #345.  Picture taking gets old...especially as the children age.  I try every year to get at least one new photo of the boys.  What a chore.  I have one who is silly, the other who does not like to be documented on film and frankly we are tired and don't like each other after it all.  I try posed, not posed, catching them by surprise, the favorite... posed, but please don't look like you are posing. This year, I found a deal.  A photographer at his studio, three photos on disk with all copyright rights....$35.00.  Not bad.  Not my favorite photographer like my lovely SIL http://caryblakescott.com/, but Ken was close to home and he did a great job (if you are near Archdale try http://www.kensykesphoto.com/).  I had to bribe them...but I think they turned out well.

Jesse's Clone
The baby...

My favorite...where did the time go?  I have a grown man and one more on the way

Do you think it is OK that I cried when I saw the last one?
